Mira's Makeover

I really like Mira, but there were a lot of little things about her appearance that bugged me. The pouches that made it look like she was smuggling loaves of bread into the Refugee Sector. The pauldrons which made me wonder if she wasn't playing defense for an intramural touch football team in between bounties. So I used Taina's Replacer Tool to make some small modifications to her face can body (smaller pouches, streamlined pauldrons, thinner nose, longer hair, fuller lips) and then used Photoshop to dial it back on the green a little. The changes are subtle, but I like them.

Crippling Strike Mod

One of the first bugs I noticed when when TSL came out was that Bao-Dur's tree of specialized unarmed feats was broken (Repulsor Strike, Electrical Strike, & Gravitonic Strike). Unfortunately, this wasn't fixed in the 1.0b patch, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Since Handmaiden's Echani Strike feats works, I decided to rename that feat tree to something neutral and give Bao-Dur access as well.

Less Annoying Workbenches

Really not much to see here. Over time I became increasingly aggravated, having to look at tutorial-style dialog options every time I wanted to fire up a workbench/lab bench. One day I decided that I'd had enough and disabled those option in the respective dialog files. Much cleaner now :)

High Stakes Pazaak

Inspired by Shosey's mod for the original SW:KotOR, I sought out to find a way to make wagering in TSL a little sweeter. Stoffe was kind enough to do all the heavy lifting on this one; taking the time to manually decompile the scripts and figure out the nuts and bolts. She was also kind enough to allow me to publish the fruits of her labor.

This mod changes the wager amounts for 5 of the 7 characters you can play Pazaak with in TSL.
  • Melba will now play for 100 credits per hand (formerly 40).
  • Dahnis will now play for 250 credits per hand (formerly 100).
  • Geredi will now play for 500 credits per hand (formerly 100). He has also been edited to be more difficult to beat.
  • The Champ will now play for 1000 credits per hand (formerly 500).
  • Nikko will now play for 500 credits per hand (formerly 250).
Included in the download is a separate readme that will explain how you can make similar edit for your own private-use version. If you want to make a public-release version, you're going to have to get Stoffe's permission.

Game Balance Mod

This mod makes many adjustments to the autobalance.2da file. The vanilla version of the game is simply too easy and rather than try to create a "hardcore" mod which simply makes everyone tougher, this mod attempts to maintain a sense of balance (cannon fodder is still cannon fodder while tougher NPCs still put up something of a fight before you Force Push them into next week).

These changes also allow you to get to higher levels without resorting to cheats or exploits (although the next version of this mod might throttle back on this a bit, as level 32-35 does seem a bit...excessive). For those of you with more questions, there is an extensive readme included in the download (also linked below) which includes some FAQs.

Peragus Mining Shield Fix

One of the first items your PC comes across after waking up in the Peragus Mining Facility is a Telos Mining Shield. Let's all take a moment to let that sink in. Since the mining actually takes place on Peragus and not Telos, I decided to change the name accordingly.

Space/Environmental Suit Speed Fix

This is a simple mod that corrects the speed "glitch" which causes your PC to get all hyperactive whenever he/she puts a space suit on. Kudos to stoffe for once again pointing out that I tend to do things the hard way and offering a more efficient solution.
